Personal Development & Coaching


A number of our consultants are highly qualified and experienced coaches and continue to refine their skills. They have experience of development, performance and skills coaching at all levels in a variety of organisations, many being blue-chip multinationals. They have coached sales teams, individuals from shop-floor to senior executive, as well as designed and led coaching programmes.
We believe in blending coaching into our programmes wherever possible, often through up-skilling internal coaches and creating a buddy network of internal support. All our Management Development Programmes include modules on coaching skills, primarily based on the GROW model although we use other models where required (e.g. the ‘7Cs of Coaching’). We have one client that delivers their own leadership programme but then use Fruitful coaches to support the action planning process after the programme.
Typically when coaching an individual we start with a:
- Kick-off discussion
- Establish relationship with coachee
- Discuss context and identify development needs to be covered during coaching
- Agree a coaching contract
- Agree objectives and outcomes
- Agree coaching plan/schedule
- Coaching session takes place
- Brief review of previously agreed actions, celebrate successes, reveal blockages
- Coaching face-to-face, via telephone, email
- Measure progress and satisfaction
- Discuss plan for next session (if appropriate)
- Finally evaluate and close the coaching sessions
- Progress to date and assess satisfaction
- Future actions including future coaching
