Tim Ball
Tim specialises in helping organisations to grow through the sustained development of their people. He is experienced in a wide range of client situations from speaking at large conferences to working with small groups or individuals over an extended period of time.
He is passionate about making a difference in organisations and believes the key to this is combining the development of individual leadership and followership skills with the re-ignition of enthusiasm, confidence and commitment of individuals.
His areas of particular expertise include: Change Leadership in Organisations, Leadership, Followership and High-performance Team Development, Negotiating and Influencing Strategies and Building Better Working Relationships.
And some of his recent clients have included: Lloyds-TSB, HSBC, Marriott Hotels, Martin Ward Anderson, Bacardi-Martini, PricewaterhouseCoopers, British Airways, BP-Castrol, British Telecom, Royal Bank of Scotland, Computacenter Rexam, Nexans, Nexia International and Deloitte & Touche. Much of his work has been in Europe, the USA and the Far East (Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia).
Tim (BA, MA, FCA) has been a Visiting Fellow at the Southampton University Management School, where he lectured and examined on the MBA programme. He currently teaches on the MBA programme for the Paris-based Business School, ESCP-EAP. He has been a member of the Institute of Personnel and Development and of the Institute of Directors for whom he co-presented the Role of the Managing Director course.
Prior to becoming a full-time development consultant in 1990, Tim qualified as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse and spent two years in an audit management role. He joined Deloitte Haskins & Sells in a training capacity where he was to become Director of Management Education and Training, and then National Director of Learning and Development for the UK and sat on the firm’s International Learning and Development Board.
Tim is married to Christine, with three sons and four dogs, he lives near Winchester. Some of his many pleasures include watching rugby, music, holidays, and dog-walking.
