Meet Our Team

Paul Hayden

Paul has over 16 years training and development experience. His training career started at Allied Dunbar, where he was in charge of setting up and training the head office team responsible for the company’s 100 top salespeople. One year later he moved to a permanent training position as the youngest sales training consultant in the company’s history. During a 2-year internal development program, Paul passed the Institute of Personnel and Development’s Certificate in Training and Development and the Chartered Insurance Institute’s Advanced Financial Planning Certificate.

In 1996 he started his career as a freelance development consultant and became a Fruitful partner in 2007. His clients included KPMG, Prudential, IBM, Bradford and Bingley, Bank of Scotland, Lloyds TSB and T-Mobile. He specialises in sales training (both face to face and on the telephone), including negotiation skills, writing proposals and key account management.

Paul is author of ‘The Learners’ Pocketbook’ and ‘The Personal Success Pocketbook’, both published by Management Pocketbooks in several languages. He is also the co-author of ‘The Advisers’ Guide to Financial Services’ and numerous sales and training trade articles. Paul is a Fellow of the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management.

He has a participative training style with practical techniques that can easily be applied in the workplace. With his knowledge of how we learn, his programs are extremely memorable.

When he is not working, Paul likes to spend time with his family, who all enjoy cooking, eating out, cinema and theatre. Paul enjoys writing in his spare time too and is the author of the play ‘Deadly Silence’. When he gets the opportunity he likes to try anything that gets his adrenaline flowing, including climbing, freefall, snowboarding, fencing and white knuckle rides.
